14k Super-White Gold
0.5ct Swiss Blue Topaz | 5mm

The Crescent ring (designed for the Kings & Queens collection, 2013) features a delicate, granulated texture on it's surface that is a celebration of the moon and it's cycles, and in turn also celebrates the seasons of our lives.  At a glance, it references a diamond eternity ring, but without the maintanance of a ring set with multiple diamonds.  This ring has an ancient aesthetic while simultaniously showcasing a modern and secure tapered bezel setting that won't get caught on fabrics, and is easily maintained over time.

The narrow 1.5mm shank perfectly offsets a half-carat round gemstone, highlighting the diameter of the stone nicely, while allowing for a low profile that is perfect for everyday wear.  This otherwise delicate style finds strength in 14k gold and is beautiful for daily wear.

Crescent rings are available in 14k yellow gold, 14k rose gold, 14k white gold (nickel alloy) and 14k super-white gold (nickel alloy).  The tapered bezel setting is available in 14k yellow gold and 14k white gold.  Any combination of these alloy preferences are possible, and is made-to-order (for example, a 14k rose gold ring with a 14k yellow gold setting etc...).  Rings take approximately 6-8 weeks to create from the time of consultation.

Additional Notes on White Gold Alloys:

  • I work with a Canadian casting facility who exclusively use nickel in their white gold alloys.
  • Nickel white gold has a naturally rich, deep grey tone that is especially visible in textured designs. It is a tone that I truly enjoy working with, and is appreciated by clients! Though it is important to note that some people do have sensitivity to nickel- this is an essential consideration when choosing your preferred alloy.
  • In industrially produced jewellery, white gold alloys are commonly Rhodium plated to brighten the natural grey tone, making it closely resemble the look of silver. None of my white gold pieces are rhodium plated, meaning they will always boast a beautiful raw hue, and will not require any plating/dipping or extra maintenance over time.

  • Though this often opens up a much larger discussion. Please inquire here with specific questions regarding alloys and preferences, I'm happy to help!

Quotes are provided based upon current gold rates when the inquiry is received, and are given based on the ring cost only.  Setting and Gemstone fees are assessed and quoted separately based on your preferences (for example, Diamonds, Sapphires and Emeralds are significantly more expensive than semi-precious gems such as Topaz).  In this respect, I am able to offer the most up-to-date information based on your own unique style.  This also allows us to work togehter more intimately to source the most incredible gemstone that you will love for a lifetime.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions at all regarding variations of this design!

The price listed here may be considered an estimate of what to expect for the Luna ring, excluding a gemstone and setting.  Please do not consider this a quote, but simply a point of reference for budgeting.
